A little info about me

I graduated from Myotherapy massage school in Salt Lake City, UT eight years ago.
I’ve had a wonderful time discovering my massage technique. Most importantly I’ve grown my passion for bodywork and how it can heal pain both emotionally and physically.

I have a fantastic husband, three dang crazy kids, and a cat who likes to run up trees and meow really loud. We moved here from Utah just last summer. We all like to laugh and have fun! We’re excited to be here in South Carolina and finding new things to enjoy.

Massage is a healing practice that has been utilized for thousands of years. Started in India, massage was passed down through generations as a method of promoting healing injuries, relieving pain, and balancing the body with nature. This balance with nature was believed to help cure sickness and illnesses.

Now there is more science that shows the benefits of massage therapy. Studies have shown that massage therapy is effective at treating a wide range of physical and mental ailments. Massage has been shown to be effective in helping with: anxiety, depression, chronic pain, stress relief, insomnia, high blood pressure, joint pain, and tension, and poor circulation.

Our modern lives are so full of stresses and pressures; oftentimes we hold the tension of that throughout our muscles. Massage not only helps with easing muscle tension but also allows the body to release hormones that enhance relaxation and healing. The slow, rhythmic movements help ease stress hormones, further increasing the benefits to mental health.
